There was only one way to improve our iconic Moritz Original… By refining its flavour and making it creamier. Moritz Original Fresca is the result of rethinking our very first beer to offer you a much more refined, vibrant flavour – straight from the tank to your glass. Whilst retaining all its freshness, every sip highlights the floral notes of Saaz hops and the smoothness of extra pale malt.

It’s the timeless Barcelona classic, but with a texture and aroma that only a fresh beer can offer. And don’t forget that you can join our sustainable movement with the Refill scheme: if you already have your one-litre bottle, bring it to the Moritz Store and have it refilled, paying only for the beer. The tradition dating back to 1856, fresher than ever.

Moritz Original beer has a light golden colour and a white, dense, abundant head. It is made using extra pale malt and demineralised water together with the infusion of the famous aromatic hops of Saaz (Czech hops) that give it a characteristic and extraordinary floral aroma.

In a nutshell, Moritz Original is a beer with a very special flavour that draws on the experience of the founder and successive master brewers who use traditional production methods to achieve its unique and authentic taste.

Ingredients:

Water, rice, extra pale barley malt, aromatic hop flowers from Saaz and Lager yeast from Moritz.

Taste / Tasting Note:

Type: Pilsner type lager, low fermentation.

Degree of alcohol: 5,4% vol.

Bitterness: 25 IBUS.

Color: 8 EBC (light golden yellow).

Foam: White, fluffy, abundant.

Effervescence: Soft.

Aroma: Moderate, bread notes, intense floral hints of hops.

Body: Lightweight.

Aftertaste: A little sweet and slightly bitter.

Serving temperature: 5 ºC.

Flavor: Soft, pleasant, sweet notes of malt and cereals, citrus touches.

Cup: Pilsner type (flute)

Pairing:
